Admissions & Eligibility

How do I apply for admission?
Admissions follow the schedule of Ghazi University, DG Khan (BS / B.Ed) and BISE DG Khan (Intermediate), announced in national newspapers. Bring filled admission form along with required documents to the Admission Office during published intake. Visit our Apply page for step-by-step guidance.
Who is eligible for Intermediate admission?
Candidates passed SSC with Second Division or above (1st Annual 2025 / 2nd Annual 2024). Failed in any compulsory subject = ineligible. Age must not exceed 18 years on the last date of application.
Who is eligible for BS programs?
Both boys and girls are eligible. HSSC with Second Division (45%) or above required, and age must not exceed 24 years on the last date of application. Admissions open once a year in the Fall Semester.
Who is eligible for B.Ed?
Candidates with 16 years of education and Second Division (45%). Age limit: not more than 26 years on the last date of application. B.Ed runs only in the Evening shift.
What quotas are available?
Per Government of the Punjab directive, admissions are made on Open Merit, Sports Quota, Disabled Quota, and Special Quota for Non-Muslims. Sports quota requires trials; disability quota requires a certificate from the concerned department.
What documents do I need?
  • Two attested copies of Result Card / Mark Sheet (Matric for Intermediate; Matric + Inter for BS / B.Ed)
  • One attested Character Certificate from previous institution
  • Four passport-size photographs + one 1×1 photograph
  • Two attested copies of CNIC
  • One attested copy of Father / Mother / Guardian's CNIC
  • Migration certificate (if from a different board)
  • Quota certificate (if applying under special quota)

Programs & Academics

Which BS programs are offered?
Ten BS programs: Chemistry, Mathematics, English, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Urdu, Zoology, Political Science, Islamic Studies. All affiliated with Ghazi University, DG Khan. See BS Programs page.
Which Intermediate streams are available?
F.Sc Pre-Medical, F.Sc Pre-Engineering, I.C.S (multiple combinations), F.A, and General Science. See the Intermediate Programs page for elective groups.
How long is a BS degree?
4 years across 8 semesters, requiring a minimum of 130 credit hours. Each semester is 17 working weeks (16 teaching + 1 Mid-Semester Examination). Two semesters per year: Fall and Spring.
How is academic performance evaluated?
BS / B.Ed: Sessional 10% + Mid-Semester 30% + Final 60%. Final examinations are conducted by Ghazi University. Intermediate students appear in the BISE DG Khan Annual Examination plus internal Mid-Year (December) and Send-Up (March) exams.

Fees & Scholarships

What is the fee structure?
See the Fee Structure page for the full BS / B.Ed / Intermediate fee breakup as published in the prospectus. Additional charges apply for Evening Programs.
Is there a fee concession?
Yes — needy or deprived students may apply for half tuition fee concession per annum as per Government of the Punjab rules. Applications are forwarded to the Principal within the notified time. Concession is sanctioned for one academic year only.
What scholarships and prizes are offered?
All merit scholarships / stipends initiated by Government / Board / University are offered. Additional support: College Red Crescent Fund for deserving students, plus prizes for high achievers in daily / weekly / monthly tests and co-/extra-curricular activities. See Scholarships page.

Uniform, Attendance & Discipline

What is the uniform policy?
  • Intermediate students: White Shirt, Grey Dress Pant, Maroon Tie, Black Shoes
  • BS Boys: Grey Shirt, Black Dress Pant, Black Shoes, Tie in respective department's colour
  • BS Girls: White Shalwar Qameez, Black Shoes, Staller / Dupatta in respective department's colour. Makeup and jewellery are forbidden

Fine for incomplete uniform: Rs. 100. Fine for no uniform: Rs. 150.

What is the attendance requirement?
75% attendance in each subject is mandatory to qualify for the final examination. Names are struck off the rolls if a student remains absent for 10 days in a month or 6 consecutive days. Re-admission is allowed only once within 15 days, with a re-admission fee.
What are the disciplinary rules?
Students must wear uniform and display their Student Card. Political / sectarian activity, smoking / drugs, mobile phones in campus, wall chalking and weapons (licensed or unlicensed) are strictly prohibited. Fine range for breach of discipline: Rs. 200 – Rs. 1,000. Bringing a camera carries a fine of Rs. 1,000.

Facilities

Is hostel facility available?
Yes — for male students from distant areas. Admission to hostel is a privilege and not a right, subject to seat availability. Strict discipline applies; hostels are smoke-free zones. See the Hostel page.
Is transport available?
Yes — college transport is provided primarily for female students, per Government directive. Annual transport fund is paid by all students; monthly expenses are charged to those who avail the service.
What library facilities exist?
The Quaid-e-Azam Library houses approximately 30,000 books. One book may be borrowed at a time for up to 14 days; fine for overdue books is Rs. 1 per day. Reference books are reading-room only.
Is there medical help on campus?
Yes — a first-aid dispensary is maintained under a teacher in-charge for minor ailments and injuries.
